Bordering Desolation Sound Marine Park, Powell River Sea Kayak's "Desolation Launch Site" provides a waterfront staging area and safe parking for your vehicle. Before embarking on your kayak tour of Desolation Sound, enjoy the rustic ambiance of this historical site, once home to "The Cougar Lady of Okeover Inlet."

For 12 years, the guides of Powell River Sea Kayak have dazzled guests with their unique knowledge of this amazing kayaking destination. Premium service includes sharing our specialized knowledge of the abundant marine wildlife of the area. Tours are fully inclusive and we use only the highest quality equipment. Our fine touring kayaks are made by Current Designs, Seaward and Nimbus and are always either new or nearly new.

Experience is not necessary on our guided tours.

A unique option for guests is to fly right into Powell River. Pacific Coastal Airlines provides several daily flights from Vancouver International right into Powell River. From there, we will take care of you.

In addition to our Okeover location, we also have a kayak shop in Lund. Many of our guests enjoy our unique day tour programs from this site as well as the convenience of renting kayaks for Savary Island and the Copeland Islands Marine Park.
